About the role#
As a Developer Student in the IM Technology department, you will support enterprise applications that drive business processes and operational efficiency. You will work alongside Systems Analysts and Developers to maintain application components and troubleshoot system integrations. This position offers exposure to the full development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to final deployment.
What you'll do#
- Analyze, design, develop, and test applications, including user interfaces, data integrations, and scripts.
- Collaborate with the team through all project phases to ensure technical specifications are met.
- Build analytic reports and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
- Identify and resolve data integrity issues to improve operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and debug problems related to applications and SQL queries.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of a degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Familiarity with technologies including VB.NET, C#.NET, ASP.NET, or React.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Location & details#
- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Term length: 12 months, starting January 2027.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
- Work type: This role transitions between part-time and full-time hours throughout the year.
