About the role#
As an Asset Integrity Engineering Student, you will support the safe and reliable operation of critical energy infrastructure. You will work with teams across our Oil Sands, Thermal, and Conventional operations to manage the integrity of pressure equipment, piping, storage tanks, and pipelines. This role involves collaborating with Field Integrity, Production, and Maintenance teams to gain insight into the technical and regulatory requirements of our assets.
What you'll do#
- Write engineering assessments for new and existing systems.
- Develop corrosion mitigation and inspection strategies for pipelines and plant equipment.
- Review and track Key Performance Indicators to monitor asset integrity targets.
- Provide materials engineering support for ongoing operations and new projects.
- Participate in metallurgical failure analysis of damaged or failed components.
- Analyze inspection data to provide recommendations for repair and mitigation.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, with a preference for Materials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with Power BI, Spotfire, SQL, or Python is an asset.
- Previous integrity or field experience is considered an asset.
- A valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license or equivalent.
- A responsible attitude toward safety, leadership skills, and an interest in problem solving.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.

- Locations: Calgary, Alberta or Fort McMurray, Alberta.
- Term length: 8 or 12 months.
- Start dates: January or May 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
- This is a safety-sensitive role.
