About the role#
This position is for an engineering student within the Facilities teams of the Thermal or Conventional business units. You will gain experience in the design, construction, modification, operation, and optimization of oil and gas facilities. This is a safety-sensitive role that offers exposure to various equipment and process designs.
What you'll do#
- Apply engineering principles to develop solutions for Conventional or Thermal business units.
- Conduct small facility changes using the Management of Change process, including design development, drawing updates, process hazard assessments, and commissioning and start-up support.
- Encourage safety awareness within projects and promote safety in the field during regular site visits.
- Work with various teams on reliability-focused improvements and initiatives.
- Participate in team meetings to ensure alignment of goals and priorities while liaising with operations and production team members.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Engineering.
- Preference for students within one year of graduation from Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or Energy disciplines.
- A valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license or an equivalent out-of-province license.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada without restrictions.

- Term Lengths: 4, 8, or 12 months.
- Start Dates: January, May, or September 2027.
- Schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours per day (Monday through Friday).
