About the role#
As a Civil or Structural Engineering student, you will join the Oil Sands Projects team. You will support the design and construction of oil sands facilities. This role involves working alongside professional engineers to solve daily design problems and gain experience in the oil and gas industry.
What you'll do#
- Apply engineering principles to the design and construction of oil sands facilities.
- Complete design calculations and technical drawings.
- Create and analyze structural finite element models.
- Review and check designs submitted by engineering contractors.
- Use your civil or structural aptitude to address daily project challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Civil Engineering.
- A valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license or equivalent.
- Experience with Microsoft applications, CAD, and structural analysis tools.
- Previous engineering experience is an asset.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position based in Calgary, Alberta.
- Work is on-site.
- The role is safety sensitive.
- Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Canada.
