About the role#
As a Tax Student, you will work with experienced professionals on tax compliance and planning projects. This role helps you apply your academic studies to real-world accounting tasks. You will work on-site at our head office in Calgary.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and file basic corporate and partnership tax returns.
- Assist with the preparation of complex corporate and partnership tax returns.
- Support the preparation of Scientific Research and Experimental Development tax credit claims.
- Assist in the completion of sales tax and trust returns.
- Learn to access information and run reports using internal accounting systems.
- Develop an understanding of corporate tax compliance and planning.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in the 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- Familiarity with accounting concepts and principles.
- Knowledge of basic taxation concepts and the Canadian taxation system.
- Experience with research strategies and analytical thinking.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Location & details#
- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
- Terms: Winter 2027 (8 months) or Summer 2027 (4 months).
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
