About the role#
This is a 12-month student work term starting in January 2027 at the Canadian Natural Resources Limited head office in Calgary. The position involves a mix of part-time and full-time hours throughout the year. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting internal systems and working alongside experienced professionals in the oil and gas industry.
What you'll do#
- Provide incident and application support to users.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Manage the printer fleet, including driver updates and asset tracking.
- Support mobile devices, including Android and iPhone troubleshooting.
- Engage with customers and the internal IS team to build relationships.
- Assist with meeting room technology and AV conferencing setups.
- Contribute to the knowledge base through documentation and writing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an Information Systems diploma or degree, or Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Business Administration programs.
- Hands-on experience with Windows 11, including file systems and registry structures.
- Experience with remote access tools like Citrix XenApp or XenDesktop.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Remedy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada without restrictions.
