About the role#
S&B is looking for a Civil/Structural Engineering Intern to join our team in Greenville. You will work under close supervision to complete routine design assignments. This role is designed to build your professional knowledge and technical skills in civil and structural design procedures.
What you'll do#
- Create simple design and construction drawings based on sketches or verbal instructions.
- Prepare sketches and run calculations for specific project segments.
- Support fundamental design tasks like updating computer lists, proofreading reports, and performing basic calculations.
- Reference vendor prints, catalogs, and technical manuals to complete tasks.
- Assist with field assignments at construction sites or operating plants when needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Bachelor's degree program for Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate coursework.
- Proficiency with standard computer software and engineering design equipment.
- Previous internship experience is a plus.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
