About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to perform routine civil and structural design tasks under close supervision. You will gain experience with design techniques and procedures while contributing to ongoing projects. The role includes both office-based design work and potential field assignments.
What you'll do#
- Create simple design and construction drawings using sketches or verbal instructions.
- Use manual or computer-assisted tools for drafting and design.
- Perform calculations and prepare sketches for specific project segments.
- Update computer lists and proofread reports.
- Review vendor prints, technical manuals, and catalogs.
- Assist with field assignments at construction sites or operating plants.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program for Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate coursework.
- Proficiency with computer software and automated engineering design equipment.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Previous internship experience is preferred but not required.
