About the role#
As an Electrical Engineer Intern at S&B, you will work under close supervision to perform routine assignments. You will apply standard design techniques and criteria while collaborating with a multi-discipline team to deliver projects. This role requires daily face-to-face interaction and regular meetings with team members.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine assignments using standard design techniques.
- Prepare basic design sketches and perform calculations to support design activities.
- Gather data during field trips to operating plants and construction sites.
- Help prepare equipment specifications, inquiry documents, and purchase requisitions.
- Evaluate vendor bids and drawings for compliance.
- Contribute to equipment lists, load summaries, design guides, and contract proposals.
- Participate in plant start-ups and field assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program for Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- Working knowledge of computer software packages and automated engineering design equipment.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks during field visits, such as walking, climbing, and balancing.
