About the role#
S&B is hiring a Civil/Structural Engineer Intern to work on routine design assignments. You will work under close supervision to build your technical knowledge and design skills. This role is intended to help you grow your abilities through practical project work.
What you'll do#
- Prepare simple design and construction drawings based on sketches or verbal instructions.
- Create sketches and perform calculations for specific project segments.
- Update computer lists and perform basic engineering calculations.
- Proofread reports for accuracy.
- Use vendor prints, technical manuals, and catalogs to gather project information.
- Support field assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor degree program for Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate coursework.
- Working knowledge of computer software and automated engineering design equipment.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
