About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will perform routine assignments under the supervision of senior engineers. You will apply standard design techniques and procedures to support project goals. This role requires daily interaction with a multi-discipline team in an office setting.
What you'll do#
- Create basic design sketches and perform supporting calculations.
- Visit existing plants to collect operating data.
- Assist in the preparation of equipment specifications, inquiry documents, and purchase requisitions.
- Evaluate vendor bids and drawings for compliance.
- Help prepare equipment lists, piping line lists, and specialty item lists.
- Contribute to the development of design guides and contract proposals.
- Participate in plant start-up activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate coursework.
- Working knowledge of computer software and automated engineering design tools.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
