About the role#
This position offers business students exposure to the operations of a major oil and gas company. You will work within the Technology and Innovation group, gaining experience in technology evaluation, economic analysis, and research funding. You will assist with cross-functional collaborations and contribute to various business-focused projects.
What you'll do#
- Provide project and process support for the Technology and Innovation group.
- Assist with Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) claims and funding applications.
- Conduct market fundamental research and economic evaluations of new technologies.
- Perform peer competitive analysis.
- Manage contracts and invoicing logistics for academic collaborations.
- Take a lead role on small projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Commerce.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI is an asset.
- Experience with Power BI, Spotfire, SQL, or Python is an asset.
- Experience with financial and data analytics is an asset.
- Ability to work in a demanding environment.

- Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
- Term: Fall 2027 (September start).
- Duration: 8 or 12 months.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, full time.
- Work modality: On-site.
