About the role#
This position offers hands-on experience in risk management for large energy assets. You will join the Process Safety team to help identify and evaluate risks across operations in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia. You will work alongside Operations, Process Engineering, and Asset Integrity teams to support safe and reliable facility performance.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering assessments and participate in risk reviews for new and existing hazards.
- Track Key Performance Indicators to monitor the maintenance and operation of assets.
- Provide safety and integrity support for ongoing projects and maintenance activities.
- Analyze failed components to determine root causes.
- Develop mitigation strategies and provide repair recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Chemical Engineering. Students in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Industrial, or Business-related fields are also eligible.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- A valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
- Experience with Power BI, Spotfire, SQL, or Python is an asset.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Calgary, Alberta.
- The term lasts 12 months, starting in May 2027.
- Work schedule is 5 days on and 2 days off.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site position.
