About the role#
We are looking for a student intern to support environmental, regulatory, and policy-related initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience researching policy topics, analyzing data to support business decisions, and contributing to projects that aid responsible energy development. You will work alongside experienced professionals and apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Support environmental, regulatory, and policy-related projects.
- Research political, economic, and policy topics to support business objectives.
- Analyze information and prepare summaries, reports, and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Assist with stakeholder engagement activities and relationship management.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and team activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Environmental Science, Political Science, Policy, Economics, or related degree program.
- Completion of at least one academic term before May 2027.
- Commitment to returning to full-time studies immediately after the work term.
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) from May 2027 to December 2027.
- Knowledge of environmental policy, regulatory processes, or economics.
- Experience conducting research and analyzing complex information.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle ambiguity.
- Interest in environmental, political, or economic issues.
- A commitment to personal development and continuous improvement.

- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Term: Summer 2027 and Fall 2027 (May 2027 to December 2027).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
- Relocation: This position is eligible for the student relocation assistance program.
