About the role#
This is a full-time student position focused on supporting Environment and Regulatory teams. You will help maintain compliance with environmental regulations and assist in the implementation of company environmental strategies. The role is on-site and provides an opportunity to gain experience in environmental business planning, permitting, and impact assessment processes.
What you'll do#
- Complete regulatory analyses and maintain existing compliance systems.
- Ensure internal and external reporting requirements are met.
- Provide environmental and engineering advice on site operations, including air, water, and waste management.
- Assist in spill prevention, response, and biodiversity management.
- Execute day-to-day data management and reporting for environmental programs.
- Support ExxonMobil Advocacy staff with rulemaking and interpretations.
- Identify non-conformances and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Provide training and support to operations staff.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 2nd year in an Engineering program, specifically Environmental or Civil majors.
- Current enrollment in a university program with a plan to return to full-time studies after the work term.
- Submission of your most recent unofficial transcript.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Effective communication and organizational leadership skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong detail orientation and business ethics.
- A valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

- Positions are available in Calgary, Cold Lake, and near Fort McMurray, Alberta.
- This is an on-site, full-time role for the Winter 2027 term.
- This is a paid position.
