Co-Op Operator (Beaumont)

About the role#

As a Co-Op Operator in Beaumont, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient operation of processing units and related facilities. This is a full-time, on-site position for the Summer 2026 term. You will be required to work 12-hour rotating shifts, and overtime may be required.

What you'll do#

• Monitor the startup and shutdown of units, including pumps, furnaces, compressors, and processing systems.
• Inspect and monitor equipment and work areas using sensory observations to ensure correct operation.
• Collect and record data such as temperature, pressure, levels, and flow rates.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance, such as adding lube oil, changing filters, and clearing equipment, under the guidance of a qualified operator.
• Adjust local process parameters and equipment to maintain product specifications.
• Communicate with the console supervisor to stay informed of process conditions and report changes.
• Inspect safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, hoses, and breathing apparatus.

What you'll need#

• Must be a current student at Lamar Institute of Technology, Lamar State College – Orange, or Lamar State College – Port Arthur.
• A 2-year Process Operator degree or equivalent experience.
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to complete mandatory pre-employment testing by the specified deadline.
