About the role#
AltaGas is looking for an NGL Supply & Marketing Intern for a four-month term starting in May 2027. You will work alongside professionals in our Supply and Marketing teams to gain exposure to the North American propane and butane business. This role focuses on supporting analytical projects that drive commercial performance and helping bridge the gap between supply and sales operations.
What you'll do#
- Support asset optimization, inventory management, and allocation activities.
- Assist with supply position tracking, reporting, and analysis.
- Help schedule, track, and report LPG and NGL nominations.
- Analyze customer contracts, volumetric performance, and key business metrics.
- Support margin enhancement and netback optimization initiatives.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments.
- Collaborate with the Supply and Marketing teams to provide analytical support for business activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the 2nd or 3rd year of an undergraduate program in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Supply Chain Management, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine interest in energy markets, commercial operations, and commodity marketing.
