About the role#
As a Quality Assurance Engineering Student, you will join the team to support the Building, Gas, and Plumbing Quality Management Program and Audit Program. You will work with engineers, inspectors, and project teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications and industry standards. This role provides exposure to construction compliance, internal audits, and vendor management practices.
What you'll do#
- Support compliance with applicable regulations, technical specifications, and industry standards.
- Gain experience applying engineering codes and quality management systems.
- Participate in audits and vendor assessments.
- Track and follow up on audit and inspection findings.
- Analyze data to identify trends in non-conformances and vendor performance.
- Review technical documentation and support document management processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in Power BI or Microsoft Access considered an asset.
- A valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license or equivalent.
- A responsible attitude towards safety and a focus on problem solving.
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening test.
Location & details#
- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Term: 12 months, starting May 2027.
- Work schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site position.
