    About the role#

    Cadence is looking for a graduate student to join as a Software Engineering Intern. You will work on integrating AI and machine learning into engineering workflows. This role focuses on applying modern techniques to geometry, mesh, and graph-structured data.

    What you'll do#

    • Apply AI and ML techniques including LLMs, GenAI, and GNNs to engineering data.
    • Research and build AI-driven approaches for geometry modeling, mesh generation, and topology optimization.
    • Prototype methods to automate geometry creation and simulation model preparation.
    • Collaborate with researchers and engineers to integrate AI into physics-based applications like thermal and structural simulation.
    • Analyze experimental results to improve the quality and performance of AI-generated models.
    • Document your findings and contribute to prototype software development.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
    • A strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
    • Experience programming in C, C++, and Python.
    • Familiarity with software development practices like debugging, testing, and version control.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
