About the role#
CACI is looking for Software Engineering Interns for the Summer 2027 term. This is a 12-week internship based in Sterling, Virginia. You will work on-site full-time for the duration of the program.
What you'll do#
- Write, test, and debug software for client applications.
- Suggest solutions for technical problems and software enhancements.
- Develop critical components such as security, rules infrastructure, and application interfaces.
- Use source debuggers and visual development environments.
- Profile, analyze, and optimize software performance.
- Follow best practices for design, unit testing, and test plan development.
- Write software user manuals.
- Participate in team meetings, including daily standups and Scrum sessions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Familiarity with web technologies like Java, JavaScript, HTML, HTML5, CSS, Groovy, Grails, and Angular.
- Familiarity with backend technologies such as Python and Java.
- Experience with hardware or software tools at an academic level.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred but not required.
- Previous internship, co-op, or work experience is a plus.
- Participation in professional, community, or extracurricular activities.

- Modality: 100% on-site.
- Term: Summer 2027 (12 weeks starting in May).
- Compensation: This is a paid internship with a salary range of $45,900 to $91,900.
