About the role#
CACI is hiring Software Engineering Interns for the Summer 2027 program. You will work within the FADE team to produce tools for geospatial analysis. This role involves exposure to enterprise technologies including Java, Python, Kotlin, and various web frameworks. You will gain experience with continuous integration and automated testing tools in a professional environment.
What you'll do#
- Write and perform unit tests for your code.
- Participate in peer reviews of completed code.
- Follow version control processes for commits to the main branch.
- Use CI pipelines in the AWS cloud to qualify and build code.
- Perform integration and regression testing using established test automation.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Understanding of programming principles like object-orientation and design patterns.
- Familiarity with microservice environments, AWS, Kubernetes, and containerization strategies like Docker.
- Experience with server development frameworks such as Spring Boot or Micronaut.
- Experience with client development frameworks like Angular, React, or Svelte.
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Linux or Windows environments.
- Experience with technical projects from design to production.
- Ability to present designs to customers and stakeholders.
- Preferred: Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and Nexus, as well as a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
