About the role#
We are looking for students with solid engineering fundamentals for a Summer 2027 internship. You should be on track to graduate in Summer 2028 or sooner. As a software engineering intern, you will work closely with our engineers on high-impact problems. You will have a front-row seat as our customers test and validate complex hardware systems like nuclear reactors, rockets, and supersonic aircraft.
What you'll do#
- Dive deep into data infrastructure, focusing on high-frequency and high-volume multi-modal hardware data.
- Design and build new features in close collaboration with our customers, often working directly with users in the field.
- Quickly take ownership of projects from start to finish.
- Help Nominal grow, onboard new customers, and expand product offerings.
What you'll need#
- Solid engineering fundamentals.
- Exceptional hands-on experience and strong core engineering skills gained through internships, personal projects, or academic work.
- A personal passion for solving challenging problems.
- You are ambitious, resourceful, and perseverant.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
