About the role#
L3Harris Technologies is hiring a Software Engineering Intern in Melbourne, Florida. This is a full-time, paid position that requires on-site work. The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
What you'll do#
- Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles to develop software.
- Work with engineering teams to build and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
- Develop software programs, test procedures, and technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools to establish operating data, run tests, and evaluate results.
- Take part in peer reviews to identify, track, and fix defects.
- Work with languages such as C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, Ajax, and Qt on platforms including Windows, Linux, and various real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program at an accredited university.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts & Sciences, or a related field.
