About the role#
We are seeking a Software Engineer Intern to focus on smart manufacturing and digital transformation. You will work within our manufacturing environment to design, develop, and test software applications. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional setting where you will work alongside experienced staff on specific projects that contribute to our organizational goals.
What you'll do#
- Develop and test applications using the Ignition platform.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to define software requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development and testing processes.
- Build a new Ignition application and write test scripts for existing applications.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of software development principles and testing methodologies.
- Experience or coursework in app development using Python, JavaScript, or SQL.
- Familiarity with Ignition by Inductive Automation or a strong interest in learning SCADA/HMI platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to team efforts.
Location & details#
- Location: Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $18.00 to $27.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
