About the role#
As an AI-Enabled Full-Stack Software Engineering Intern at Lennox, you will contribute to frontend development, backend services, data modeling, and testing. This role focuses on modern software engineering and enterprise-scale application modernization. You will work alongside experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience in AI-assisted development workflows.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, and refine production-quality web application features.
- Develop frontend components using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Build and enhance backend services with Java and Spring Boot.
- Support the development and validation of AI skills, agents, and iterative delivery workflows.
- Contribute to the creation of reusable playbooks and development standards.
- Work with relational databases, data models, and application schemas.
- Create and execute unit, integration, and user interface tests.
- Participate in feature reviews, demonstrations, and sprint-based development activities.
- Assist with debugging, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
- Document and refine AI development practices.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot or a comparable backend framework.
- Experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Understanding of REST API design and integration principles.
- Knowledge of SQL, relational database concepts, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub version control.
- Ability to learn quickly, work through ambiguity, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
