About the role#
As a Junior Python Developer, you will join a small team of engineers working on research projects for Phantom high-speed cameras. You will help improve how these cameras capture, measure, and process digital images. This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Develop Python modules specifically for Phantom high-speed camera systems.
- Build tools to process CINE files for scientific image analysis.
- Collaborate with engineers to solve technical challenges in digital imaging.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Senior undergraduate or graduate-level academic standing is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience or interest in coding with Python to solve engineering problems.
- A solid grasp of core programming concepts.
- Interest in scientific imaging, optics, or camera technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply technical concepts to real-world projects.
- A dependable, self-motivated approach and a willingness to learn.
- Desirable technical knowledge includes digital imaging, optical systems, oscilloscopes, and function generators.
