About the role#
This 10-week summer internship provides insight into how technology powers financial markets and supports critical business needs at Brown Brothers Harriman. You will work alongside infrastructure and IT engineering teams to operate, support, and improve the resilient technology environment. This program offers hands-on experience, mentorship from industry leaders, and professional development through workshops and networking events.
What you'll do#
- Learn how enterprise technology solutions are deployed, monitored, patched, and supported in on-premises and cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot systems and equipment issues, identify root causes, document findings, and recommend solutions.
- Support Windows and application security patching across multiple device types.
- Explore software automation and scripting to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
- Build an understanding of IT strategy, vendor management, service delivery, and operational controls.
- Collaborate across infrastructure, application, cybersecurity, and business teams.
- Analyze operational information to help create documentation, metrics, presentations, or process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current junior in college, entering senior year in the fall of 2027.
- Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong academic achievement, with a GPA of 3.3 or higher preferred.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership, curiosity, initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

- Locations: Boston, Massachusetts and Jersey City, New Jersey.
- Modality: This is an on-site internship requiring daily in-office presence.
