About the role#
We are looking for Data Engineering Interns to join our team for Summer 2027. You will work with various business units, such as predictive analytics, actuarial, IT, and customer experience, to provide technical expertise while gaining exposure to our operations. This is a full-time, paid internship designed to build a data-driven culture and solve real-world business problems.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate business needs and clarify requirements, data, processes, and systems for technology projects.
- Mine large, complex datasets for insights and convert them into product features.
- Collaborate with analysts and other engineers to formulate data engineering solutions.
- Build solutions that provide functionality, speed, scalability, and reliability.
- Work with other teams to assist with integration design, development, and implementation.
- Communicate complex concepts and results clearly.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Economics, Business, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience in programming, with a preference for Python or R.
- Experience with data modeling.
- Familiarity with tools and platforms such as Alteryx, AWS data services, SAS, Tableau, or RDBMS like MSQL and Postgres.
- Skills in machine learning, database engineering, application development, cloud engineering, or user experience design.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Intellectual curiosity demonstrated through coursework, Kaggle contests, hackathons, or similar activities.

- Location: Newport Beach, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: $25.00 per hour for undergraduates and $30.00 per hour for advanced degrees.
- Relocation: A stipend is available for those living outside a 50-mile radius of the office.
