About the role#
This 10-week summer internship provides insight into how technology supports financial markets and the business needs of the firm. You will join the Protect pillar, focusing on securing digital assets for the firm and its clients. You will work alongside industry leaders, participate in professional development workshops, and contribute to meaningful projects in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Use scanning, monitoring, and detection tools to identify vulnerabilities, suspicious activity, configuration risks, and emerging cyber threats.
- Support security investigations, including alert triage, incident documentation, containment, and recovery.
- Analyze threat actors, malware, phishing, and indicators of compromise.
- Contribute to threat intelligence assessments, briefings, and threat hunting preparation.
- Support web and network defense through proxy controls, URL filtering, and traffic analysis.
- Assist with application security, including secure coding, code vulnerability analysis, and hardening.
- Collaborate with teams across Security Operations, Cyber Incident Management, Vulnerability Management, and Red Team.
- Document controls and procedures to support audit, regulatory, and metrics needs.
- Recommend practices to strengthen defenses and improve cybersecurity program maturity.
What you'll need#
- Current junior in college, entering senior year in the fall of 2027.
- Background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Strong academic achievement, with a GPA of 3.3 or higher preferred.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Leadership, curiosity, initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
