About the role#
This 10-week summer internship offers an opportunity to work within the Internal Audit IT team at a global financial services firm. You will gain direct insight into the systems that move money and safeguard client data. This role involves investigative work and a deep dive into technology, providing a foundation for a future career in cybersecurity, IT audit, risk, or technology consulting.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to Internal Audit projects including risk assessment, internal controls evaluation, audit testing, and documentation.
- Examine access management, data integrity, network security, and application controls.
- Test automated processes and review system configurations.
- Conduct risk assessments under the guidance of IT Audit leadership.
- Translate audit findings into actionable recommendations.
- Partner with other interns on a capstone project to address a real business challenge.
What you'll need#
- Current junior in college, entering your senior year in Fall 2027.
- Background in information technology through major, minor, coursework, certifications, prior internship, or hands-on project work.
- Academic majors include Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting.
- Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity is strongly preferred.
- Strong academic achievement with a GPA of 3.3 or higher.
- Demonstrated leadership through academic, extracurricular, club, or work experience.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Solid proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
