About the role#
Cerity Partners is seeking interns for our Business Accounting & Advisory program for Summer 2027. This paid position offers exposure to the financial industry within a registered investment advisory firm. You will work 30 to 40 hours per week in a professional environment while gaining hands-on experience in accounting and wealth management.
What you'll do#
- Assist account leads with accounting processes, including batch accounting for accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Process and post transactions and related journal entries.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements.
- Gain experience with accounting practices across multiple industries.
- Shadow and participate in client presentations.
- Collaborate with a team on a financial planning project or other assignments.
- Take part in company social and volunteer events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate program at an accredited university with a minimum 3.2 GPA.
- A major in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Active participation in campus organizations, ideally in a leadership role, or previous professional work experience.
- Alignment with the mission and core values of Cerity Partners.
