About the role#
Cerity Partners is hiring for a summer internship in our Austin office. This program runs during the summer of 2027 and offers exposure to the financial industry at a registered investment advisory. You will work 30 to 40 hours per week in a professional environment that emphasizes collaboration and accountability.
What you'll do#
- Shadow Financial Advisors during client presentations and assist with the preparation of performance reports and financial documents.
- Conduct research on stocks, bonds, and other securities using software such as Bloomberg, YCharts, HiddenLevers, and Riskalyze.
- Use CRM and financial planning systems to organize account data and perform portfolio maintenance.
- Participate in Investment Committee and portfolio subcommittee meetings, including presenting your own findings.
- Learn about portfolio rebalancing, optimization, and backtesting.
- Build spreadsheets for financial planning opportunities and collaborate on team projects.
- Pursue the e-Money Certification.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate program at an accredited university with a minimum 3.2 GPA.
- A major in Finance, Accounting, Financial Planning, or a related business field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience through professional work or active leadership roles in campus organizations.
