About the role#
Cerity Partners is seeking interns for the Summer 2027 program within our Investment Office. This role is based in our Central Solutions team and focuses on the intersection of investment data and technology. You will work alongside the Portfolio Management team to gain exposure to multi-asset class institutional investing and various investment strategies. This is a full-time, paid internship requiring 40 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research on capital markets and specific asset classes.
- Prepare clear written reports based on your analysis.
- Deliver data and reports to business leaders, including the CIO and heads of research and investment management.
- Join research calls with investment managers and handle the distribution of meeting notes.
- Build and use AI tools to assist with data visualization, drafting, and research.
- Maintain and clean investment-related databases, models, and spreadsheets.
- Assist in the creation of client proposals and Investment Policy Statements.
- Work with your team to complete a research or financial planning project.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an undergraduate degree with a strong academic record, ideally in Finance, Mathematics, or Economics.
- A genuine interest in portfolio management, public and private market investing, and financial technology.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Professional integrity and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Excel Power Query, Bloomberg, or Morningstar is a plus.
