About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship for 2027. You will work within our Commercial Banking division to build your professional network and develop technical skills in a credit analyst role. The program runs for 12 weeks from May through August, requiring 40 hours per week. You will join a cohort for various activities, community service projects, and professional development sessions.
What you'll do#
- Work with colleagues to meet business objectives.
- Learn the approval process for commercial loans.
- Analyze credit and financial information for businesses and individuals to determine risk.
- Generate and interpret financial ratios to evaluate financial conditions.
- Spread balance sheets and income statements using specialized software.
- Perform collateral analysis for current and prospective customers.
- Underwrite and present a full Credit Approval Presentation for annual reviews and renewals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a U.S. college or university, preferably entering your junior or senior year.
- A concentration in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- An interest in financial analysis and corporate finance.
- Demonstrated leadership, extracurricular, or volunteering experience.
- Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. now and in the future (no sponsorship provided).
