About the role#
As a Finance & Risk Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting trading activity in global commodity markets. You will work with teams that monitor, report, and control risks related to market exposure, profit and loss, pricing, and trading controls. This 12-week program focuses on building technical and professional skills through project work, mentorship, and on-the-job learning. You will collaborate with finance, risk, and trading teams to understand market movements and help protect the business through strong controls.
What you'll do#
- Review daily trading activity and help validate exposure, profit and loss, and mark-to-market information.
- Monitor risk measures such as exposure, stress testing, liquidity, and trading limits.
- Analyze data from systems to identify trends, exceptions, or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with finance, risk, and trading teams to support and challenge commercial decisions.
- Own a summer project that solves a real business problem and present your findings.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Availability to start the 12-week internship on May 17, 2027.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. with no restrictions, as sponsorship is not provided.
