About the role#
As a Supply & Trading Intern, you will join our commercial team in Houston. You will work directly on the trading floor alongside experienced Traders, Operators, Schedulers, Analysts, and Charterers. This role provides exposure to commodity markets and the crude-to-customer value chain. You will participate in training sessions, company events, and networking opportunities with senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Perform commercial and trading analysis for crude, refined products, renewables, carbon, natural gas, NGLs, and freight.
- Support S&T operations across marine, pipeline, rail, and truck logistics.
- Conduct shipping operations and demurrage analysis.
- Assist with risk management and credit analysis.
- Execute upstream and downstream value chain optimization analysis.
- Develop value chain strategy and commercial decision analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited University degree program in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.
- Permanent U.S. work authorization.
- Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and a creative drive to add value.
- Proven leadership potential, communication skills, and maturity.
- A demonstrated passion for the energy industry.
- A record of strong academic and extracurricular achievement.
- The ability to demonstrate The Chevron Way.
