About the role#
The Supply & Trading (S&T) TRIP Internship Program provides an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in commodity commercial activities. Participants work on trading floors alongside experienced Traders, Operators, Schedulers, and Analysts. This program serves as an entry point to the full-time hiring program and focuses on building business relationships while contributing to S&T organizations.
What you'll do#
- Gain hands-on experience in commodity commercial activities including refined products, crude, renewables, carbon, natural gas, and NGLs.
- Conduct Risk Management and Credit analysis.
- Perform Downstream Value Chain Optimization and strategy analysis.
- Support S&T operations across marine, pipeline, rail, and truck sectors.
- Participate in training opportunities and company events.
- Network with senior S&T leaders and other business leaders.
What you'll need#
- Must be an accepted full-time enrolled participant of the Texas A&M Trading, Risk and Investment (TRIP) program.
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
- Outstanding leadership potential and communication skills.
- Strong work ethics and interpersonal skills.
- A demonstrated passion for the energy industry.
- Permanent U.S. work authorization is required.

- Location: Houston, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid internship with an hourly range of $22.50 to $27.69.
