About the role#
Earth Science interns contribute to Chevron by working on projects that provide real value to the company. You will join multi-disciplinary teams, which may include geologists, geophysicists, engineers, data scientists, and software developers. Throughout the internship, you will receive guidance from a supervisor and a technical mentor to help develop your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Develop technical skills in geoscience, geophysics, and petrophysics through assignments focused on exploration, development, reservoir characterization, and well operations.
- Contribute to projects based on your degree, academic preparation, and career objectives.
- Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams to solve complex problems.
- Apply specialized knowledge in areas such as basin modeling, geophysics, and other subsurface characterization workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s or Doctorate Thesis program.
- Strong academic performance in core programs.
- Professional or academic focus in a technical area, including Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or Biology.
- Ability to demonstrate The Chevron Way.
- Capability to perform duties that may require driving on a routine basis.
