About the role#
This 12-week summer internship offers hands-on experience in petroleum and reservoir engineering. You will work on real projects that support the lifecycle of oil and gas fields. This role is designed for students between their penultimate and final year of study. You will be part of a team, supported by a line manager and a buddy, while gaining exposure to field operations and technical challenges.
What you'll do#
- Assist in ensuring hydrocarbons are extracted safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support well and reservoir reviews.
- Monitor and optimize production and injection to maximize hub value.
- Identify and progress wellwork opportunities using system modeling.
- Use digital tools for data management, documenting events, and maintaining key information.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Current cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without restrictions.
- Availability to start the 12-week program on May 17, 2027, or June 14, 2027.

- This position is based in Houston, Texas.
- The role is full-time for the duration of the summer 2027 term.
- This is a paid internship.
- Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
- Successful interns may be considered for a full-time role within the One Subsurface Development Program upon graduation.
