About the role#
Our R&D software engineers design and develop software solutions for medical devices. You will work within the Interventional Oncology and Embolization unit, which focuses on therapies for cancer and vessel trauma. This role provides exposure to the operations of a medical device company while you contribute to projects that improve patient outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Apply your problem-solving skills to engineering work related to cancer therapies.
- Execute software strategy across the portfolio using specific software tools.
- Support organic and co-development efforts to drive results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present your recommendations to leadership.
- Grow your skillset through hands-on experience, training, and mentorship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or AI Engineering.
- Graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2029.
- Experience with agile software development frameworks or AI technologies.
- Ability to commit to one of two program periods: May 17th to August 6th or May 24th to August 13th.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
- Preferred: Experience with medical device development, project management tools, and imaging modalities like cone beam CT or MRI.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site at our Maple Grove, Minnesota, location.
- You must have reliable transportation to the office.
- This position is designated as safety-sensitive and requires a prohibited substance test.
