About the role#
This R&D Software Engineering internship supports the Interventional Oncology and Embolization unit. You will work on software solutions for medical devices that assist in treating cancer and vessel trauma. This role provides exposure to the operations of a Fortune 500 medical device company and offers opportunities to build your professional network through mentorship and cross-functional collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Perform engineering work related to cancer therapies.
- Execute the software strategy for the IO&E portfolio using enabled software tools.
- Support organic and co-development efforts to drive project results.
- Develop your skills through training and hands-on experience.
- Generate recommendations from your work and present them to cross-functional leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or AI Engineering.
- Graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2029.
- Experience with agile software development frameworks or AI technologies.
- Ability to commit to one of two program periods: May 17th - August 6th or May 24th - August 13th.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
- Preferred experience includes medical device development, project management tools, and imaging modalities like cone beam CT or MRI.
