About the role#
Insulet Corporation is hiring a Co-op for the Embedded Software Test Engineering team. This role supports the research and development group by ensuring medical devices meet safety and performance standards. You will work on-site in Acton, Massachusetts, during the Winter and Summer 2027 terms. This is a full-time, paid position. Please note that this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain manual and automated test cases for embedded software.
- Perform functional, regression, performance, stress, and reliability testing.
- Conduct software requirement analysis and review architectural specifications.
- Create use cases, test plans, and test reports.
- Oversee the development of test objects and adapt protocols as device features evolve.
- Participate in product design reviews and Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Coordinate daily stand-ups and syncs across onshore and offshore teams.
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards and internal quality benchmarks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python, Jenkins, and test automation tools.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, test lifecycles, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Prior experience in embedded software testing is preferred.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of embedded systems is a plus.

- Compensation: $25.00 to $34.00 per hour.
