About the role#
This internship is a full-time position based in San Diego, California, running from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027. You will join the DevOps team to help improve product quality and software efficiency. The role involves working with cross-functional groups, including systems, software, and test teams, to support new product development and maintain existing products. You will also assist in implementing software development tools for tasks like defect tracking, configuration management, and software hazard analysis.
What you'll do#
- Help set up and automate CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based services and product applications.
- Write scripts to automate manual tasks and improve engineering processes.
- Collaborate with IT to manage critical engineering infrastructure and applications.
- Evaluate and introduce new tools to support continuous improvement.
- Perform other related duties as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program for Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering.
- Experience working in a command-line environment like Linux, Ubuntu, or MacOS.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
- Experience working within software development teams.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Additional experience in the following areas is a plus:
- Linux/Ubuntu system administration.
- Building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
- Using Atlassian tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or Bamboo.
- Programming with REST APIs.
- Software development for Android or iOS.
- Working with AWS infrastructure, services, and the AWS CLI.
