About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Co-op position within the Global Supplier Quality Engineering team. You will work on the selection, qualification, and management of suppliers for Insulet's components and finished goods. The role runs from January 11, 2027, to June 30, 2027. You will report to a manager who focuses on your professional development and specific learning goals.
What you'll do#
- Support or lead Engineering Change Orders to improve product and process design specifications.
- Communicate design or process changes with suppliers using External Quality Action Requests.
- Work on continuous improvement projects to refine supplier quality processes.
- Perform hands-on lab work with equipment like optical gages, microscopes, and battery testers for inspections and root cause analysis.
- Automate tasks and standardize internal data analysis and workflow systems using software such as VBA.
- Apply Six Sigma and Lean concepts to daily operations.
- Communicate quality metrics through supplier scorecards and management reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate mechanical, industrial, or biomedical engineering program.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A hands-on mentality and mechanical aptitude.
- Strong attention to detail and good documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools like JMP, Minitab, and Excel.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship.
