About the role#
As a Pharmaceutical Sciences Intern, you will help develop and characterize drug-eluting formulations and coatings designed to improve patient outcomes in vascular interventions. You will apply principles of drug delivery, chemistry, and materials science to understand how formulation, processing, and device design influence product performance. This role is based in Maple Grove, Minnesota, and requires you to work on-site five days per week.
What you'll do#
- Design and execute laboratory experiments to develop, characterize, and optimize drug formulations, coatings, and test methods.
- Investigate relationships between drug physicochemical properties, formulation composition, processing conditions, and product performance.
- Perform analytical testing and data analysis to evaluate drug-product performance with statistical rigor.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, and technicians.
- Document and communicate results through technical reports, presentations, and discussions.
- Contribute to innovation by identifying opportunities to improve formulations, test methods, or scientific understanding.
- Drive project tasks forward independently while seeking guidance and mentorship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science/Engineering, Materials Science, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Graduation date between fall 2027 and June 2028.
- Hands-on laboratory experience in experimental design, execution, and documentation.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.
- Ability to commit to a full-time summer internship program from either May 17th to August 6th or May 24th to August 13th.
- If a graduate student, approval from your academic advisor to participate in a full-time summer internship.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
