About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. You will join our team on-site to contribute to medical technology projects. This role focuses on applying your academic background to real-world engineering challenges while working alongside our professional staff.
What you'll do#
- Apply your classroom knowledge to industry projects.
- Implement new ideas and develop your technical skills.
- Network with key stakeholders and business leaders.
- Document complex processes and present information in a clear format.
- Research new technologies, business requirements, and regulations.
- Work with CAD, FEA, and Test Labs to develop new product concepts.
- Design new products and support their transition from concept to production.
- Analyze customer feedback and product performance data to drive improvements.
- Perform root cause analysis on existing products.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
- You must remain enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the internship concludes.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
