About the role#
The Environmental Health & Safety department in Pendleton, South Carolina, is looking for an intern to assist with daily operations in a medical device manufacturing environment. You will gain experience while supporting safety professionals and engineers with regulatory tasks and equipment assessments.
What you'll do#
- Perform complex machine safety validations using established checklists.
- Evaluate safety controls against OSHA requirements and internal standards.
- Help develop and review safety training materials, including content and scheduling.
- Conduct basic Job Hazard Analysis and Chemical Hazard Analysis.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health or an engineering field.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Location & details#
- Location: Pendleton, SC.
- Term: Winter 2027 and Spring 2027 (January through April).
- Modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, part-time internship.
