About the role#
This co-op position supports the Imaging and Resection team in Naples, Florida. You will work on the development, design, and testing of the Shaver product line. This role is a full-time, on-site commitment running from January 2027 through June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and design of new products and testing fixtures.
- Create models and engineering drawings for prototype parts using SolidWorks.
- Design and print 3D test fixtures.
- Maintain engineering documentation.
- Analyze drawings and tolerances.
- Perform engineering tests and write reports based on your findings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an engineering degree program or graduation within the last six months.
- Senior standing in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Bioengineering is preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally.
- Experience working through technical issues.
- Familiarity with surgical equipment, mechanical testing equipment, and PC use.
- Previous experience with CAD software, specifically SolidWorks, is preferred.
