About the role#
This co-op position supports the component manufacturing team at our facility in Ave Maria, Florida. You will work on medical device manufacturing processes, including design, implementation, and validation. The role runs from January 2027 through June 2027 and requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Prepare, execute, and document CNC process validations.
- Perform inspections using Micro-Vu, comparators, attribute gages, micrometers, and calipers.
- Run statistical analysis using Minitab.
- Design and implement projects like tool mapping in Solidworks.
- Draft and implement standard work instructions.
- Conduct engineering validations and perform destructive testing.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an engineering degree program or graduation within the last six months.
- Preference for sophomore or junior standing in Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally.
- Skill in working through technical issues.
- Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Experience with Minitab, basic hand tools, manual machines, and CNC machines is preferred.
