About the role#
The Associate Clinical Experience (ACE) internship is a program designed to build a pipeline for future clinical careers at Medtronic. You will work alongside experienced Clinical and Mapping Specialists to gain direct exposure to cardiac procedures in hospital environments. This role combines training with hands-on support to help you develop foundational knowledge in cardiac anatomy, technology, and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Observe and support advanced cardiac procedures in hospitals and electrophysiology labs.
- Complete training led by the Medtronic Field Education team.
- Provide technical, educational, clinical, and commercial support to healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with clinical field teams to develop professional communication and problem-solving skills.
- Participate in clinical education and in-person customer engagements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Anticipated graduation date of Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer and part-time (4-10 hours per week) during the following academic year.
- A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability and willingness to travel within an assigned territory.
- Experience in team-based projects, leadership roles, or customer-facing environments.
- Exposure to healthcare, medical devices, or human physiology through coursework, research, or previous work.
- Ability to work in hospital and clinical environments, including the observation of live medical procedures.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid and on-site role with opportunities available across the United States. You must reside within your assigned territory for the duration of the internship and the following academic year.
- The summer internship runs from June 1 to August 14 or June 15 to August 21.
- This is a paid position.
